Angel's Bio
Angel Jerez is the vibrant, bilingual host of Youth for Christ Radio and producer of the popular John Hannah Morning Show on Inspiration 1390 AM radio station. Getting his start in radio at the tender age of 21, Angel comes from a diverse Dominican-American background. This native Chicagoan decided to pursue his career in broadcasting after initially having his gospel hip hop music played on the air. He is an active member in the community, and at his church. He also helps manage and market NFL players like Pro Bowl Defensive Tackle Tommie Harris and Defensive End Mark Anderson of the Chicago Bears just to name a few. His motto in life is, “No Matter What, Love and No Matter What, Forgive.”
As producer of the John Hannah Morning show, Angel is the youthful, vibrant voice behind the scenes and the one who controls the bells and whistles. Every morning the comedic John Hannah and the motivated woman of God Angela Martin provide prayer, comedic relief (sometimes at Angel’s expense), and bring light to current events from 6-10 am. Angel represents the voice of youth and rounds off this popular morning show that has thousands of loyal fans.
Angel is also the talented host of Youth for Christ Radio ( The #1 Gospel Hip Hop and Uptempo Show in the country). Airing on Friday and Saturday nights from seven pm to midnight; Angel has a following of thousands of Youth for Christ fans, some of whom live thousands of miles away from Chicago. These supporters of the show appreciate his straightforwardness about the true issues that the young people of God face, and his sense of humor with all the pranks he pulls on the air. No sugarcoating here. Youth for Christ is real, current, and like Angel, changing lives every week.
